Abstract: InordertoexploretherelationshipbetweenlearningstrategiesofspokenEnglishandlanguagelearninganxiety,441vocationalcollegestudentswereaskedtodothequestionnaire.Theresultsindicate:thevocationalstudentshavehigherlevelofanxietyabouttheirownoralEnglish.Usuallytheseareshownasthefollowing:firstly,learningstrategies,especiallythemetacognitivestrategies,wereseldomusedinEnglishlearning.Secondly,speakinganxietyisinverselyrelatedtoEnglishspeakingstrategies.Theresearchsuggests:toimprovestudents’oralEnglishstudyinhighervocationalcollege,educatorsshouldnotonlyattenuatethelanguageanxietyofthestudentsinhighervocationalcollege,butalsodeveloptheirownlearningstrategies.
