The Structure and Testing of Vocational Values for Vocational College Students

Abstract

Abstract: To explore the structure of vocational values among vocational college students, a vocational values questionnaire was developed and administered to 2 332 vocational college students in the Shandong region for both initial and formal testing. The reliability and validity of the scale were assessed using ex- ploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The results show that; 1 ) the vocational values scale for vocational college students comprises 27 items and seven dimensions, including prestige and sta- tus, interpersonal relationships, material rewards, occupational security, self-development, social serv- ices, and vocational freedom; 2) the scale demonstrates good reliability and validity, establishing the vo- cational values of vocational college students.
