Abstract: Abstract: The deepening of industry-education integration has placed an urgent demand on public physical education in higher vocational colleges to shift from a "universal" approach to a "vocational" one. In response to prominent issues such as the disconnection between teaching and vocational needs, single teaching methods, and rigid evaluation, this paper proposes that the core of public physical education reform lies in constructing a teaching system aimed at "vocational adaptability". Specific paths include establishing a modular curriculum with "foundational + elective" components, implementing project-based teaching based on real work scenarios, and promoting diversified evaluation that integrates vocational literacy. Through these measures, public physical education can truly serve students’ vocational literacy and lifelong development, providing support for the talent cultivation goals of industry-education integration.
