Abstract: Under the background of the new era, building a "grand ideological and political education" framework has become a key approach to fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. Facing challenges in the "two classes" (the ideological and political class and the social class), such as resource integration, teaching schedule coordination, teaching team development, and students’ engagement, this study proposes a collaborative education model of the "Grand Ideological and Political Course" with ideological and political theory courses at its core. This model emphasizes the deep integration of on-campus and off-campus resources, the close linkage between ideological and political courses and vocational curricula, and the seamless connection between theoretical learning and practical training. Furthermore, this study analyzes optimization strategies including the integration of morality and technical skills in a "grand curriculum", the industry-education integration of a "grand classroom", the theory-practice integration of a "grand platform", and the development of a "dual-competence" teaching workforce. It reveals both the internal logic and external manifestations of the collaborative education of the "two classes", providing theoretical and practical guidance for innovation in ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges.
