Abstract: Water supply and drainage pipe network system is a professional core course in water supply and drainage specialty.  Based on the questionnaire handed out to students of water supply and drainage major, the article analyzed some problems in the teaching. The paper brings forward some ways to reform
teaching such as reasonable selection of teaching materials，varied teaching materials，better teaching methods and examination methods.  It actively promotes teaching reform to ensure students have better theoretical knowledge and practical skills to lay a good foundation for their future career.
