Abstract:

Zhuaugzi，translated by Wang Rongpei，has significant academic value and is well accepted by academic circles.  As a new perspective of translation studies，Toury's theory of translation norms can he divided into three parts:preliminary norms，initial norms and operational norms.  This paper analyzes
the translation norms of Zhuaugzi by Wang Rongpei，and explores the translation process and social cultural factors so as to reveal the effect of translation norms on the translated version and demonstrate its academic value.
