Abstract: Based on the translated ancestor-worshipping scripture of Youmi village and the character in-terpretation as a research method, the writer finds out Dongba and Ruanke Dongba share the contents ofscriptures word by word and there are many phonetic loan characters and variant characters. Moreover.the characters are used at will and the writing is flexible. This article gives information to further researchon the development of Dongba scripts in different historical stages and enriches research results in com-parative philology.
