Abstract: Abstract:Thispaperaimstolearnabouthighervocationalcollegestudentsabilitytousemetacognitive strategiesandfindouttheproblemshinderingthedevelopmentofstudentsautonomyinlearningEnglishbymeansofsurveyandinterview.ThedataarecollectedandanalyzedwithSPSSafteraquestionnaireisconductedonthevalidityandreliability.Fourfactorsareattainedbyfactoranalysisandeachfactorisanalyzeddescriptively.Asaresult,problemsarefoundandpedagogicalsuggestionsaregiven.
