thechallengesencounteredbythesestudents,aquestionnairesurveywasconductedamongstudentsfrom
severaldomestichighervocationalcolleges.Thefindingsrevealthateconomicallydisadvantagedstudents
tendtoadaptslowlytocollegelife;theyachievegoodacademicresultsbutlackotherinterests;theyac
tivelyparticipateingroupactivities;andwhiletheyhaveideals,theylackclearplansfortheirfuture.
