Abstract: The post-epidemic era brings challenges to education and college English teaching is trans-formed to blended learning. Based on the community of inquiry ( COl) theory proposed by Carrison etal. , by constructing a community of inquiry, the research explored the use of blended learning mode inEnglish courses of higher vocational education. The results showed the practice of blended leamning modeenabled students to acquire higher online presence and improved their leaming satisfaction. The researchsuggested that the blended mode has a guiding role in English course design in blended learning environ-ment.
