Abstract: The modemization of university archives governance is a crucial aspect of improving govemancecapacity and educational quality in higher education institutions. lt is also a concrete step in achieving themodernization of the national governance system. This paper systematically analyzes the existing issues in uni-versity archives goverance from the perspectives of governance system frameworks, governance entities , governance methods, and talent team development. Adopting a problem-oriented approach, it proposes specificimprovement pathways , including promoting the rule of law in archives governance, establishing an open andeficient service system, advancing digitalization and intelligent upgrades, and strengthening talent development. Furthermore , by drawing on the practical experience of L, university in archives goverance , the studyexplores feasible models for modernizing university archives govemance, providing theoretical insights andpractical guidance for optimizing archives governance in higher education institutions.
