Abstract: NonOrthogonalMultipleAccess(NOMA)isakeytechnologyfor5G,whichhassignificant advantagesinimprovingspectrum efficiencyandsystem performancebydifferentiatingusersbasedon powerdomainandeffectivelyallocatingpower.Themainpurposeofthisarticleistostudytheenergyef ficiencyoptimizationproblemofthedownlinksysteminNOMAandtomaximizethesystemthroughputby designingareasonablepowerallocationscheme.ThebasicprinciplesandsystemarchitectureoftheNon OrthogonalMultipleAccessSystem areintroduced.Then,anoptimizedpowerallocationalgorithm is proposedbasedonthestandardParticleSwarmOptimizationalgorithmandtheimprovedParticleSwarm Optimizationalgorithm isusedtosolvetheobjectivefunctionofmaximizingsystem energyefficiency. Simulationresultsshowthatthisschemecaneffectivelyimprovesystemenergyefficiency.
