Abstract: Abstract:Highsulfurbauxitewillseriouslyaffectthenormaloperationofaluminaproductionbecauseof itshighsulfurcontent.Thepresentstudyinvestigatestheflotationdesulfurizationofhighsulfurbauxite ore,sourcedfromWenshan,Yunnan,withaninitialsulfurcontentof167%.Theexperimentalproto colinvolvedtheoptimizationofgrindingfineness,selectionofappropriatecollectors,modifiers,andac tivators,followedbytheapplicationofaflotationprocessthatintegratesonestageofroughing,twosta gesofcleaning,andonestageofscavenging.Thissystematicapproachyieldedaconcentratewitha yieldof9443%,comprising6833% Al2O3and965% SiO2,achievingadesulfurizationratio(A/S) of708andreducingthesulfurcontentto026%,whicheffectivelyreducesthesulfurcontentinbaux ite,andtheconcentrateproductmeetstherequirementthatthesulfurcontentintheconcentrateisless than03% inthebauxiteorequalitystandard(GB/T24483—2009).
