Abstract: As the core content of social security, social insurance is related to people's well-being and so-cial fairness and justice. From the historical dimension , the process and the development of the social se-curity system in China are combed in detail and the landmark documents of each critical period about thesocial security system in China are summarized and commented. Taking the social security handling man-agement work of Yunnan province as an example , this paper analyzes and evaluates the specific situation ofthe current social security handling management in Yunnan province, and puts forward seven major tasks.
