Abstract: Akeyissueoftheimageautofocusingmethodistheselectionofthefocusingevaluationfunction.Theprocedureofautofocusingistogetthemaximumofthefocusingevaluationfunction.Ordinarymountainclimbsearchingalgorithmisapttobedisturbedbylocalextremum.Tosolvethisproblem,animprovedmountainclimbsearchingalgorithmisproposed.Thisarithmeticiseffectivelyavoidthedisturbancebyusingthreeconsecutivechangesofthefocusingevaluationfunctionasthecriteriontoconfirmthefocusingdirection.
