Abstract:  A skill-based society is a critical foundation for the construction of a strong nation and nationa.rejuvenation , requiring a large number of high-quality technical and skilled talents. Higher vocationacolleges should align with the demands of a skill-based society and continuously improve the quality andlevel of talent training. The key to achieving high-quality development in vocational education lies inteachers. As the central figure in implementing the fundamental task of moral education, ideological andpolitical teachers are not only guides for students in developing skills and contributing to the nation but al.so facilitators of cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents. They are also pioneers in promotingthe idea that “ everyone learns skills, and everyone possesses skills.” To maximize the role of ideologicaland political teachers in the construetion of a skilled society within higher vocational education , in addi.tion to strengthening top-level design, improving mechanisms, and establishing institutional incentives, itis essential for ideological and political teachers to clarify their role orientation. They should transformtheir mindset, consciously undertake the responsibilities and mission entrusted by the development of askill-based society, and strive to be a “ great teacher” unified in both their roles as “Teacher of Expert.and “ Teacher of Morality."
