icproduction.Duringtheoperationofsewagetreatmentplants,electricitycostsaccountfor25% ~35%
oftheoperatingcostsdependingontheprocessesused.Effectiveelectricitycostmanagementiscrucialfor
savingonoperatingexpenses.Thenewpowerreformpolicieshavepromotedenergysavingandconsump
tionreductioninsewagetreatmentplants.Thispaperanalyzestheresultsoffourtypicalsewageplantsin
Kunmingoverthepasttwoyears.In2022,themaintransactionmodewasannualtransactions,whichac
countedfor70% oftotalelectricityconsumption,whiletheremaining30% wasadjustedthroughmonthly
transactions.Onetimebundledtransactionsprovidedanoverallpriceadvantage,savingatotalof149
millionyuaninelectricitycostscomparedto2021,indicatingsignificantcostsavingpotential.Addition
ally,byleveragingtransactionpricesduringlowwaterandflatwaterperiodsandparticipatinginelectric
itymarkettransactions,electricitycostswerereducedby35% ~45% comparedtononimplementation
scenarios.Theserelevantexperiencesprovidevaluableinsightsandserveasamodelfortheoperationof
sewagetreatmentplant
