Abstract: In this paper,the applications of the Knelson concentrator at home and abroad and the principle of benefication were presented.According to the recovery status of cassiterite from tin−bearing tailings,taking tin tailings of Yunnan Province as an example,the feasibility approach to applying Knelson concentrator for the recovery of cassiterite in the gravity separation circuit of bearing−tin tailings were discussed and carried out.The result indicated that Knelson concentrator is more efficientthan table concentrator for the recovery of fine−particle cassiterite.The grade and recovery of tin in concentrate are 13.6% and 58.3%.
