Abstract:  In the context of profound global economie and cultural integration, the traditional craft of Daislow-wheel pottery faces significant challenges due to weakened funetionality, market contraction, and a dis.ruption in the transmission of knowledge across generations. To revitalize the modem vitality of this traditionalcraft . this studv explores the use of digital illustration as an innovative medium, aiming to loealize the integration of Dai slow-wheel pottery's cultural elements into digital art creation. Through a systematie analysis of thecurent state of digital illustration, especially addressing the lack of localized design elements, this researchextracts visual symbols from Dai slow-wheel poltery, including the shapes of pottery vessels, omamental mo.tifs , and crafting scenes. These elements are reinterpreted using digital techniques to produce illustrations thatblend ethnie eultural identity with contemporary aesthetie styles. Additionally , the study includes the design ofderivative products based on these illustrations. By combining the regional culture , folk customs, and histori.cal heritage of the Dai people, this loealized approach to digital illustration not only achieves the digital preservation and innovative expression of slow-wheel pottery but also injects new cultural depth into the field ofdigital illustration. This study provides a replicable paradigm for the revitalization and modern adaptation oftraditional crafts from ethnie minorities in contemporary design contexts.
