Abstract: Data mining, as an important tool for big data research, uncovers potential and valuable knowledge from extensive datasets generated in daily production. This knowledge provides decision-mak- ers with the scientific evidence needed to make informed decisions. Giving the heavy workload of college counselors' daily tasks, this article explores how data mining techniques can improve their work efficien- cy. It aims to promote the integration of data mining technology into counselors' daily tasks, thereby pro- moting the transformation of college counseling work towards smart development and digital transforma- tion. This article also analyzes the challenges in combining counselor work with data mining technology, and proposes corresponding solutions.
