Abstract:  Using the PositivePsychological Capital Questionnaire(PPQ)written by Zhang Kuo et al.( 2008 ) as a measurement tool to investigate the current situation of psychological capital of 1 622 students in five colleges in Yunnan province，these students were selected by means of convenient sampling. The resups show that:1 .the psychological capital of students in higher vocational colleges is good(4. 77 10. 77)，and the average scores of psychological capital from high to low are as follows:hope，optimism，resilience and self一efficacy;2. mens' total average score of psychological capital is significantly higher than that of women's(t=3. 17，P<0. 0l)，and the psychological capital score of the sports major students is significantly higher than that of the other students，junior students' psychological capital score is significant1y higher than those of freshmen and sophomores，and the score of psychological capital of student leadersis higher than that of students who did not serve as student leaders. Therefore，this paper puts forward suggestions on how to cultivate and improvehigher vocational students' psychological capital.
