Abstract:  This paper divides verb.directional construction into three types : l) direction of action verhand directional verb are the same ; 2) direction of action verb and directional verb are not completely oppo.site; 3 ) direction of aetion verb and direetional verb are completely opposite. lt is found that when actionverb and directional verb have a direction oecurenee process, direction occurenee process of verb-direc.tional construction is manifested as 'T or L, otherwise it is manifested as ZD, Y or 0. On this basis, thepaper proposes a different apprach of determining the syntactic core of the verb-directional construetion
