Abstract: Aiming at the problem of the disconnection between sketch teaching and the cultivation of de-sign conception ability, the lack of analysis and induction process of perceptual experience in the study ofgraphic composition theory knowledge , which leads to the poor teaching effect of basic courses of art anddesign majors in higher vocational colleges. This paper attempts to integrate the two courses from the as-pects of curiculum orientation, objectives and training, so as to improve students' observation of objects.ability of analysis, cognition and imagination that can improve the ability of modeling and design expression, enrich students'aesthetic experience, and cultivate their keen visual perception and the preliminaryability to flexibly apply the rules of formal beauty to design conception according to the needs.:
