Abstract: The Simola Wa village is inhabited by a small-scale Wa ethnic group in Qingshui town, Teng-chong city in the southwest border of Yunnan Province, which is located in a multi-ethnic area where Hanpeople live. The village worship ceremony here has undergone tremendous changes, but it still has an un-abated influence on the development of the Simola Wa village. It is found that the village worship ceremo-nies have shown their inclusiveness and adaptability in the long-term ethnicmerge over time, with its u-nique characteristics and cultures in the content and process of the ceremonies. The village worship cere-monies play an active role in maintaining ethnic unity, inheriting ethnic culture, promoting ethnic identity, and keeping ethical order. The long-term ethnicmerge and social changes found in the ceremoniesserve to be huge impetus to the transformation and development of ritual beliefs.
