Abstract: Yinachang iron and copper mine has been mined for a long time and a large number of mine goafhave been formed. In order to evaluate the stability of goaf and surface , The FALC3 finite difference numeri-cal software is used to simulate the influence of underground mining on its goaf and surface stability. The sim-ulation results show that because the roof and floor of the mine have good rock properties and the rockmass isstable, the plastic zone produced by the stope roof is limited after the full-scale excavation with retained pil-lars , the plastic zone is not penetrated to the surface, and the overall subsidence deformation of the surfaceand the stope roof is very small, which has no disturbing effect on the surface and meanwhile has certain secu-rity. The surface and goaf surrounding rock are in a stable state , which proves that the mining method has theadvantages of safety and low cost with certain feasibility and rationality. The research results provide a theo-retical basis for the safe and efficient production of the mine. The research results provide theoretical basisand technical guidance for safe and efficient mining of the deep ore body and safety of surface.
