Abstract: IM technology as building information integration platform of a multi一dimensional model，integrates all project information of each stage of the whole life cycle of a construction project. The application of BIM technology in architectural design，project construction and management was discussed.  With an example，It is shown that BIM technology greatly enhances the feasibility of building design，implementation of building engineering calculations，construction simulation and three-dimensional collision checking and so on.
