Abstract: Quantitative and qualitative analysis of literatures on metallurgy disciplines from 2010 to 2016 in CNKI full一text database(Chinese core journals) was carried out by using the methods of bibliometric and knowledge mapping. The literatures in the field of metallurgy were analyzed from the time series，the core author, the distribution of research institutions，research hotspots and research front several aspects. The research trajectory of metallurgy was deduced and its research hotspot was also revealed.
