Abstract

Abstract:

The surveying and mapping major of Kunming Metallurgy College was established in 1955.Through 60 years' development，major construction and personnel training has obtained great achievemenu. By asummary of the major's history and experience，from the perspectives of major setup，teaching faculty's construction&training and educational reform，this paper explores and analyzes the development of vocational education in mapping，expounds the specific approaches and methods to carry out personnel cultivation in mapping at researchers' college，introduces the achievements they have gained，
which provides referential development and experience formajor一running like surveying and mapping，geographic information engineering at higher vocational colleges.
