Abstract: EMDalgorithmrepresentsaneffectivemethodforthedetectionofharmonicinpowersystem.DependingonthecharacteristicsofharmonicdetectionandEMDalgorithm,ahardwaremethodofBlackfin533basedonDSPwasgiven.AftertheintroductionofthebasicprincipleofEMDalgorithm,EMDalgorithmsoftwareprocesswaspresentedbasedonDSP.OnthebasisofEMDdecompositionresults,theinstantaneousamplitude,phaseandfrequencyoftheharmonictestsignalwerecalculated.
