Abstract: Softwarewasusedtobuildathreedimensionalfiniteelementmodelofanarchdam,andthe vibrationcharacteristicsoftheconcretearchdaminbothemptyandfullreservoirswereanalyzed.The calculationofthedamsresponseinseismicconditionadoptedmodalanalysisresponsespectrummethod. Theresultshowedthatthedisplacementofthedamsdesignwassmall,andthedistributionofstresswas rational.Themethodprovidedareliablebaseforengineeringdesign.
