Abstract: The current highway design software based on CAD all use average area method to calculatethe amount of earthwork, such as Hint Soft, Hard, Hong Ye Road, Route Master, etc. However, inthe process of road construction and engineering, part gorge or abrupt spur region, there are many errorsin the amount of earthwork and stonework. This aticle uses a three-dimensional ClS surface analysismodel to analyze and calculate the amount of earthwork and stonework for local sections. The resultproves that this method has guiding significance for the checking of the filling and excavating earthworkquantity in the process of highway construction.
