Abstract: Regional international image is an important component of Yunnan's “soft power", and it isalso the core of promoting Yunnan's connotative development, enhancing regional value and regionacompetitiveness. facing the new direction of building a radiation center for South Asia and Southeast A.sia, targeting at Yunnan's cultural communication, this paper analyzes the advantages, disadvantages.opportunities, and threats in the intercultural communication of Yunnan's higher vocational colleges withthe SWO'T analysis as the tool. We explore the advantages of geographic, human and cultural relationsin Yunnan's intereultural communication with the world in the new era, build Yunnan into a regional cul.tural highland in South Asia and Southeast Asia, promote people-to-people communication through mutu-al learning of civilizations, and ultimately achieve the goal of promoting the win-win development of regional culture.
