Abstract: Ideological and political education refers to the integration of ideological and political educationinto the teaching of specialized courses to realize the synergy of ideological and political courses and specialized courses. This paper analyzes the general situation of the “ Commercial Concrete Applicationcourse and designs the ideological and political education resources in the course. The teaching design hascovered the construction of some typical projects such as Qinghai-Tibet railway , the stories of WU Juzhenand some other concrete professionals in the history of cement and concrete in China, case studies of acci-dents caused by concrete quality problems , specific measures adopted in the construction of projects, sandand stone aggregate industry models, and the application of admixtures and superplasticizers in concrete,etc. Students are cultivated with patriotism, dedication, cultural confidence, sense of responsibility, fear-less spirit, craftsman spirit and environmental awareness. The paper summarizes and prospects the ideolog-ical and political education in teaching the “Commercial Concrete Application” course.
