Abstract: ThispaperfirstintroducesthatXrayfluorescencespectrometrycananalyzetheeightchemicalcompositionsofSi,Mn,P,S,As,Ti,NiandCrcontaininginmiddlelowalloysteelbyestablishingaworkingcurvewithnationalstandardsamples,usingtheempiricalcoefficientformatrixcorrection,spectraloverlapcorrectionandmatrixinterferencecorrection.Theanalysisisverifiedbyinternationalsamplestandardvalueandcontrastedwiththeonebyusingsparksourceatomicemissionspectrometry.Theresultshowsthat,byusingXrayfluorescencespectrometry,therelativestandarddeviationsareaccuratetolessthan2%,withintheallowabledeviationrange,whichcanmeetproductionneedsintermsofitsreliability.Italsostrengthensacontrastiveexperimentwithdirectreadingspectrumsoastoreplacetheanalysisworkwhenthedirectreadingspectrometerisinmaintenance.
