Abstract: Paleosalinityisofgreatsignificanceforrecoveringpaleogeographicenvironmentinsedimentaryperiod,recognizingthechangesandmechanismofpaleo-environment,learningaboutthedevelopmentofsourcerocksandorganic-richshales.Usinggeochemicalparameterstoindicatepaleosalinityisamatureandreliablemethod.Severalgeochemicalmethodscommonlyusedofpaleosalinityrecoverywereinroducedinthispaper,suchasBoronelementmethod,theabundanceandratioofelement,elementscatterplot,iotopeandsedimentaryphosphatemethod.Inaddition,thelimitationsandproblemsthatshouldbepaidattentiontointheirilizationwerealsoanalyzed.
