Abstract: In this paper, The adsorption characteristic ofthe chelating resin containing 8Hydroxyquinaldine(PSHQ)forCr6+ wasstudiedinaqueoussolution.ThestudiedparametersincludepH,adsorptiontemperature.TheresultsshowedthatPSHQcouldeffectivelyremovechromium fromaqueoussolution.IthadhighadsorptionabilityforCr6+ fromaqueoussolution.ThePSHQshowedhighadsorptionabilityforchromiumatawidepHrange(pH3.0~6.0),theoptimaadsorptonacidityofPSHQforCr6+ ispH4.0inHAcNaAcmedium.Adsorptionincreasedwithincreasesinadsorptiontemperatures.Itmeansthatthesorptionprocessisanendothermicprocess.TheadsorptionbehaviorofPSHQforCr6+ obeystheFreundlichandLangmuirisothermmodel.Afteradsorptiontheresincanberegeneratedwithnitrateacidanddemonizedwater,theregenerationratioreachupwardsof93~96%.PSHQisthebetterabsorptivematerialremovingCr6+ fromaqueoussolution,reachupwardsof93% ~96%.PSHQisthebetterabsorptivematerialremovingCr6+ fromaqueoussolution.
