Abstract: Intheexperimentconductedbypresentauthors,thesampleofilmenitewasdecomposedandmoltenbysodiumperoxide.Secondly,inairfreecondition,thequadrivalencetitaniumwasreducedbyaluminuminthesamplesolutionandtitaniumwasdetermineddirectlybypotassiumdichromatestandard.Thenthesamplesolutionwaschangedintoneutralleveltodetermineironbypotassiumdichromatestandard,withdiphenylaminesulfonateasindicator.Itprovesthatquick&continuousdeterminationoftitaniumandironinilmenitecanberealizedbyusingtheabovemethod,andinthiswayrepeatedsampledissolvingcanbeavoidedandtheanalyticaltimecanbeshortened.However,whatmattersthemostinthiswayisthepropertitrationconditionsandaclearTi3+ endpoint.
