Abstract: TheFepoorironorestudiedhereisfromtwomajororedeposits-thegroundorebodyand deeponeintheminingareaofXinjiangProvince.Bystudyingthesortingprocess,theoreinthedeep bodycouldbeminedbymagneticpulleythrowingwastefirstandthenseparatingtheweakmagneticore.
Theoreinthegroundbody,however,containsalargeproportionofweakmagneticmineralore,cannot usethesamewayformining.Butitcanbedonebyseparatingtheweakmagneticorefirstandthendressingthehighgradientstrongmagneticore.Theauthorssuggestthattheseparationprocessoftheorebe flexibleasthreesteps:(1)magneticpulleythrowingwaste;(2)weakmagneticseparation;(3)high gradientstrongmagneticseparation.Onecanadjustmeasurestolocalconditionssothatthebesteconomic resultscouldbeachieved
