Abstract: College teachers are the leading force to carry out the teaching activities, and their individualquality and the quality of their work is directly related to the survival and development of colleges and u-niversities. This paper, by extracting the view of leadership in Sun Tzu's Art of War, puts forward thestrategic thinking to promote the individual growth and development of college and university teachersfrom the following aspects: 1) a good general must have five virtues , namely, advancing without seekingfame , retreating without fearing being condemned, taking people's rights as priority , doing what isbeneficial to the monarch; 2) seeking from the potential, not blaming others; 3) civilizing the people by edu-cationand governing them by discipline.
