Abstract: Myths and rituals are inextricably linked at the beginning of their birth. Rituals serve to be themeans to facilitate the inheritance, sanctification and restatement of myths. The interpretation of rituals isbased on the texts of myths as evidence, which contributes to the intertextuality between myths and ritu-als. The Naxi nationality has a rich and complex mythological system. It embodies the ancient Dongbaculture, and provides sufficient evidence and acceptable interpretation for the polymorphic festival ceremonies of the Naxi nationality. Through the illustration of the myth narration and rituals of the Naxi na-tionality , the paper analyzes the intertextuality between the various forms of myths and rituals, studies therelationship between the myths and rituals of the Naxi nationality from the perspective of dynamic development, and explores the significance of the study in the new era.
