Research on the Method of Creating Flac3D ModelBased on DIMINE Block Model

Abstract: Flac3D is widely used in slope stability analysis and stope structure stability analysis in miningengineering. But it is difficult to create complex models and there is a large amount of processing workload.Therefore, we propose a method to convert DIMINE model into Flac3D model. The steps of this methodare: 1) Using DIMINE 3D mining software to create complex true 3D model; 2) Building block model; 3)Assigning attributes to the model; 4) Exporting to Excel file; 5) Writing Flac3D modeling code programs.Based on the basic data of a mine in Yunnan Province , we try to establish the topographic model and orebody model, and make a geostress distribution. The results show that this model can be used for Flac3Dnumerical calculation, which verifes the feasibility of converting DIMINE model into Flac3D model.
