Abstract: The advantages in application and research contents of the aluminum alloy formwork were introduced firstly. Then the features and design contents，combined with some engineering cases were summarized.  Aluminum alloy formwork's advantages of environmental protection，simple construction and
reutilization，which result in its wide use in the field of construction were indicated finally.
