The Analysis of Development of Extended Range Hybrid Electric Vehicle System

Abstract:

 This paper introduces national measures on dealing with the deterioration of the global climate, analyzes the current research status of the Extended Range Hybrid Electric Vehicle domestically and internationally, explains the working principle and operating state mode of the Extended Range Hybrid Electric system (pure electric drive state and engine range‑extender state), and studies the advantages of this system. By proposing the key technologies of the Extended Range Hybrid system (APU module and power battery module), this paper compares and analyzes the Extended Range Hybrid system with pure electric drive vehicles and ordinary hybrid vehicles. It is concluded that the Extended Range Hybrid system can reduce exhaust emissions to the greatest extent and slow down the aging of the power battery. Combined with the actual production and marketing market, the hybrid technology is increasingly favored by car companies and applied in more new models, which makes contributions to the country's energy conservation and emission reduction plans.
