Educational poverty alleviation is an important measure to block the intergenerational transmis-sion of poverty and stimulate the endogenous motivation of the poor. Under the new situation, vocationaeducation should fully integrate its own educational resource advantages, technological advantages,etc.to actively provide intellectual support for targeted poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. This articletakes the ethnic minority villages in the plateau area assisted by Kunming Metallurgy College as a case.From the perspective of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization , this article deeply analyzes how thevocational education service model is transformed,“blood transfusion”for poor-stricken areas, and cutoff the roots of poverty, which provides vocational education with experience that can be used for refer-ence in the post-poverty era and serves the rural revitalization strategy.

Over the past 40 years of reform and opening-up, China has made remarkable achievements inpoverty alleviation. In the crucial period of the decisive battle against poverty , the political quality and ability of the first secretary of poverty alleviation is directly related to the outcome of the battle against pov-erty. From the perspective of political position and functions, the first secretary of poverty alleviationshould not only carry out poverty alleviation policies accurately, but also have a good political outlook towithstand the hammer. At the same time, we need to have a noble mind to build a community with ashared future for mankind and the ability to grasp the trend of the macro-economy to properly handle so-cial relations and serve poor farmers and people.
